Judge Ruth Jakubowski retired from active service as a Maryland State Trial Judge on the Circuit Court for Baltimore County in 2023.  During her 21 year tenure as a circuit court judge, she presided over hundreds of cases, including medical malpractice, motor vehicle accidents, family law and other complex civil litigation. In July, 2023, she assumed senior status and continues to serve as a Settlement Court Judge for the Circuit Court for Baltimore County in both civil and family law matters.

Prior to her appointment to the bench, Judge Ruth Jakubowski spent 24 years as a litigator.  She handled primarily medical malpractice and serious personal injury litigation. She applies her expertise, experience, and calm demeanor to resolve disputes.
